About
Sprouse Triple M Carnivores (previously Central Carolina Carnivores) is a family-owned business. Mike Sprouse established the business. He ran most of it off on eBay and through email conversations. Mike passed away unexpectedly in 2025. After he passed, we knew that we needed to continue his legacy by speaking to many people inside the US and some in other countries. We realized the amazing reputation that Dad established over the 15+ years he dealt with carnivorous plants, and we want to make him proud as he watches over us. I, Miranda, Mike's daughter, am doing a lot of the back-end work, from making this company an LLC to the website, eBay, etc. I do have an amazing support system of people helping. Currently, my step-father, Jimmy Decess, and brother, Elliot Decess, help me with the maintenance on the plants, and I am working on an organization for the plants, on top of many family members who are just a call away if help is needed.
A little reason why I picked Sprouse Triple M Carnivores: of course, Dad's name was well known in the carnivorous community, so I wanted Sprouse and Triple M — my step-dad thought of it for Mike, Miranda, and Madison (my daughter). I wanted the company name to have meaning behind it, and I think this fits us perfectly!
Thank you for visiting our site. We have a lot to learn, as I didn't really know much about carnivorous plants. I kept Dad's entire plant inventory and continue to keep it and grow his business even more. Just takes time.
